Muscle Soreness
Why is It that we only consider it a good workout if we can’t walk for the next week?
Here’s the lowdown on muscle soreness.
Soreness is due to microscopic tears in the muscle and surrounding connective tissue following eccentric exercise.
This usually occurs when there is a change in intensity, frequency or duration of your workouts, or you participate in an activity you are unfamiliar with.
Let’s stop chasing soreness after every workout and focus on consistency and slow progressions so we can make the progress we are looking for.
Don’t forget to rest and recover as well, that is where the magic happens
